Attivio-QilkTech Partnership Brings Unstructured Content to Self-Service BI

Attivio is looking to make its unified information access platform more accessible to the business user.  A couple months ago the company teamed up with data visualization specialist Tableau to promote this goal, and now it’s putting even more tools in the hands of enterprise app developers with three new partnership.

Most prominently, Attivio has entered into an agreement with QilkTech to integrate its flagship software, the Active Intelligence Engine (AIE,) with QlikTech’s QlikView Business Discovery. This empowers a concept of ‘self-service BI,’ which is being expanded into several additional markets via QilkTech’s partner ecosystem.

Attivio also struck deals with two QlikTech partners, Project Brokers, a business intelligence consultancy based in London, and Visual Data Group, a QlikTech value added reseller and data visualization services firm in the US.

“This partnership with QlikTech and agreements with two premier solution providers offer our customers the opportunity to capitalize on Attivio’s ability to tap into the incredibly valuable sources of information that exist in unstructured content for critical business insight,” said Peter McQuade, vice president of Alliances and Partner Sales at QlikTech. “Business intelligence should empower business users, simplifying decision-making across the entirety of an organization.”

Attivio has been aggressively building its partner network one the last year or so. In July, it partnered with Search Technologies, a Herndon, Va.-based services and consulting firm that specializes in enterprise search implementations, followed by a deal with CSC to provide services to Attivio customers in Europe.
