Tintri offers a VM-enabled NAS solution that is partially based on flash, specifically optimized to run in virtualized environments. Today the startup launched the Tintri Lightning Partner Program, which offers more incentives to the channel in hope of luring in more partners.
The program is designed for resellers and distributors, but SIs and services providers that sign up receive equal access to the all goodies. Tintri is offering a partner portal, co-marketing, training and technical support as well as other types of business development boosters. Investment partners are rewarded through an “efficient deal registration process.”
Tintri says that 60 percent of its existing partners have had customers make a second purchase within 6 to 12 months after their first deal. The company also didn’t skip an opportunity to mention that its own 100 percent quarterly growth rate is proof that they’ve been doing something right.
Mike Krieger is a managing director at Pride Technologies, a Tintri reseller, seems to think very highly of the flash storage firm.
“Tintri has an extremely compelling valueproposition: they offer a clearly differentiated product,” Krieger said. “They’ve helped us crack accounts that we were previously unable to reach. What makes it even more attractive for us is that customers will see a clear ROI in as little as 60 days and they will return to work with us to expand the scope of the initial project.”
A few high-profile Silicon Valley VCs are apparently just as impressed with Tintri as Krieger and his company. Last month the firm announced a massive $25 million funding round led by Menlo Ventures and Lightspeed Partners, which brought the total capital raised to date at $60 million. The money is being evenly spread between engineering, sales and global expansion.
